Meet Dr. Iasella
Dr. John Iasella grew up in the Yakima Valley. His father was the first periodontist to establish a periodontal practice and provide periodontal care to central Washington, and did so for 35 years. John attended A.C. Davis High School and later graduated from Gonzaga University in 1995 with a Bachelor's degree in Biology. He was accepted to Indiana University and graduated in 1999. During his time at Indiana he was awarded the Academy of Operative Dentistry Award, the Academy of Pediatrics Award, and the Academy of Periodontology Student Award. He was then accepted to the University of Louisville and graduated in 2002 with a Certificate in Periodontology and a Master's degree in Oral Biology.

John met his wife Andrea in dental school and they married in 2000. They have two children and enjoy the outdoors and fishing. John also farms cherries and apples in his free time. He and his family love the Yakima Valley and are very proud that the Iasella family has been providing periodontal care here for over 50 years!

To be educationally qualified for board certification requires:

Certification as a dentist, including basic college education and completion of dental school to earn the D.D.S. or D.M.D. degree and

Certification as a periodontist after successful completion of an educational program in Periodontology, which is accredited by Commission on Dental Accrediation of the American Dental Association.

Comprehensive qualifying and oral examination covering all phases of periodontal disease and its treatment, including dental implants.

Dr. Iasella Lectures to the Yakima valley community college dental hygiene school on topics including oral pathology, surgical and non surgical periodontics.
